Perhaps one of the broadest fields of study, acoustics and the study of sound encompass everything from animal bioacoustics (think bat echo-location and whale song), and acoustical oceanography (monitoring climate change by acoustically measuring sea temperatures), to biomedical, engineering and architectural acoustics, not to mention music production, audio engineering, and recording.
